Lamborghini Cars are much-loved by car aficionados around the world. They have excellent performance in terms of speed and built with style. The main characteristics of a Lamborghini cars are its tremendous style and tremendous speed. They are the number one rival of Ferrari. Lamborghini

The founder of Lamborghini, Ferruccio Lamborghini, who served with the Air Force mechanics corps with Italy during the World War II. And he was good in working with engines. When World War II was over there was a shortage of tractors. Lamborghini grabbed the opportunity and he bought military machines that were a surplus and changed them to tractors. It was a brilliant idea and his move resulted in a thriving business career as a young entrepreneur. And it made him a very wealthy man very quickly.

The tractor business of Lamborghini became more successful during 1950 and they expanded to heater and air conditioning business and was even a more flourishing business. Lamborghini was a car lover and he had a lot of sports car that were considered the best at that time. And because of his frustration of Ferrari cars he built a car that was more better from the Ferraris. He built a state of the art automotive factory in the small village of Sant'Agata. And his automotive engineer was Giotto Bizzarrini who worked with Ferrari before. The tractor business also faced hard times during the early 70's that led Lamborghini to sell his controlling interest of Automobili Lamborghini SpA to a Swiss industrialist. When the oil crisis came his problems worsened and led him to sell his shares that were left. But after ten years Lamborghini declared bankruptcy because the development of the military truck style Cheetah were not selling well.

Lamborghini Aventador Lends Occasion To Any Event You Choose

The Lamborghini Aventador has the latest in Independent Shift Rods transmission, claimed to be faster and 'more emotional' than a dual-clutch system. Indeed, the seven-speed, semi-automatic gearbox achieves gear changes significantly faster than a dual clutch, in 50 milliseconds. From there, power is distributed throughout via an electronically-controlled Haldex coupling, distributing forces to both front and rear.

Lamborghini Aventador

Formula One inspired, its lightweight chassis with pushrod suspension completes the picture. A perfect balance is achieved through aluminium double wishbones coupled with carbon-fibre ceramic brakes. Lightweight yet fierce, this Lamborghini hire gives maximum dynamism. This is accomplished thanks to three driving modes of 'Strada' (road), Sport and 'Corsa' (track). These harmonise the engine, transmission, differential, steering and dynamic control in perfect synchronicity.

Lamborghini Aventador

Everything about this car is a step ahead, according to Stephen Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. He calls the Aventador, "a jump of two generations in terms of design and technology ... the result of an entirely new project, but at the same time a direct and consistent continuation of Lamborghini's brand values. It is extreme in its design and its performance, uncompromising in its standards and technology, and unmistakably Italian in its style and perfection. Overall, the dynamics and technical excellence of the Aventador LP 700-4 makes it unrivalled in the worldwide super sports car arena.

Lamborghini Aventador

The highest power to weight ratio of any supercar of this class is achieved with an engine block weighing just 235 kilograms, and an overall weight of just 1575 kilograms. This 6.5 litre 12-cyclinder lean machine produces a blistering 512 kw, reaching 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds. This sports car hire is indeed the bull with 700 horse power. On its television test debut, it achieved the second fastest time ever around the Top Gear track. However, despite the 8% increase in power over its forefathers, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced by around 20 percent.

Lamborghini Aventador

Utopia is reached in the design cues of the Lamborghini Aventador. Whilst the Aventador represents an evolution of its predecessor, the Murcielago, it also contains hues of the limited-edition Reventon, as well as the Sesto Elemento and Estoque concepts.

Lamborghini Gallardo

New Lamborghini Gallardo

Consumers traditionally have a "love/hate" relationship with Lamborghini. Either you love them, or you hate them. Rarely is there any middle ground. The New Lamborghini Gallardo is no exception. The car debuted at the Geneva auto show and has garnered considerable news since that time. For aficionados of the brand, the numerical designation will be of great interest. LP560-4 is the number the car has been christened with and it serves a purpose far beyond most other automaker's numerical designation.

Lamborghini Gallardo

Here's a breakdown of the number: the LP refers to the location of the engine, longitudinally mounted in the middle of the car. The numbers in the middle (the 560 part) refer to the metric horsepower output, while the number 4 refers to the all-time 4-wheel drive the car features.
The new Gallardo replaces the previous incarnation, of course. However, consumers curious about the changes will want to know what they will find inside both the car's interior and within the engine. What's different about the new Gallardo? Here are a few bits of vital information.

Lamborghini Gallardo

Customers will be happy to know that the transmission options are the same as the previous model. You can choose the manual 6-speed transmission or the more advanced "E-gear" automated manual transmission. The automated manual transmission has been updated on the new Gallardo, using rotational selection, rather than the method used in the previous incarnation of the car. Lamborghini promises vastly improved shift times, thanks to the new technology, but the real test will come when consumers hit the road.

Lamborghini Gallardo

However, the real upgrade for the Gallardo is the engine. The all-aluminum V10 provides 560 metric horsepower, a substantial upgrade from the older version. This is due to the larger bore diameter of the engine, coming in at 5.2 liters. The new engine allows better low-end torque, as well as better peak RPM.

Lamborghini Gallardo

The upgrades don't stop there, however. Lamborghini has jumped aboard the environment bandwagon; the new Gallardo produces 18% less emissions than the older iteration. It also provides better fuel economy, hitting a whopping 17 mpg. While that might not sound like much to consumers conditioned to driving Honda and Geo Metros, it is an improvement for the super car manufacturer.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is a true super car, capable of attaining 200 mph on the highway; that, combined with the sheer good looks, makes this car an incredible feat of modern engineering and a true Lamborghini.

C&D Drives a Gallardo LP550-2 to Sample One of the Last Supercars with a Manual Gearbox

It’s an age-old story: technology and its advancements may be adopted by the general public but there are always some who will mourn the passing of the old ways.

There are still those who insist that vinyl records are way superior than compact discs, never mind that even that medium will soon join the one it replaced and give way to the fully-digital media.

In much the same way, there are people who bemoan the fact that semi-auto transmissions are becoming the new standard in supercars and manual gearboxes are getting pretty rare.

We already saw Lamborghini's new offerings for its 2013 model year Gallardo coupe range at the Paris Motor Show, and now, the Santa'Agata Bolognese carmaker has gone ahead and introduced the Spyder variants of its 'baby' supercar series.

Lamborghini Perdigón Design Concept by Ondrej Jirec is Razor Sharp, But is it Too Much?

Ever since Lamborghini unleashed the limited-run Reventon Coupe and Roadster specials back in 2008 and 2009 respectively, the famed Italian automaker turned a fresh page on the styling front using razor sharp lines inspired by jet fighters for its production and concept models such as the Aventador and the Sesto Elemento.

Many design students have adopted the same design philosophy when it comes to creating their own concept drawings for future Lamborghini models, including Ondrej Jirec, a final year Transport Design student at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Refreshed Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Makes its Debut at the Paris Auto Show

It may not look like it, but when the Gallardo was first launched in 2003, its direct rival was the Ferrari 360.

This practice proved quite successful, as with nearly 13,000 units sold to date, the "baby Lambo" is the brand's best-selling model ever.
