What Kind of Drivers is Honda Targeting with its New "We Know You" 2013 Accord Ads?

In life, there are always two ways to see things: the glass can be half-full or half-empty. This may also be the case for some of the new TV spots Honda has prepared for its 2013 Accord, which goes on sale in the United States today, September 19.
The multimedia campaign is named "It Starts with You" and it puts a lot of focus on new technologies that help drivers avoid certain situations that could place them in danger, including the LaneWatch blind-spot display and forward collision warning systems.

New Honda N-ONE Remembers its Past to Compete Against the Fiat 500 Today [50 Photos & Video]

The final production version of Honda's retro-styled N-ONE mini was officially unveiled today in the brand's home market of Japan, where it will go on sale on November 2, 2012.
Prices in Japan start at 1,150,000 Yen ($14,400 / €11,100) for the base 2WD, Type G model and rise to 1,707,750 Yen ($21,300 / €16,500) for 4WD, Premium edition.
The N-ONE belongs to Honda's new N Series mini-vehicle family and follows the N BOX and the N BOX + tall city vans that were both launched in the country earlier this year.
As many of you may recall, it is the production version of the N Concept_4 displayed at last year's Tokyo Motor Show with its styling directly inspired by the motif of the N360, the first mass-produced Honda mini passenger car that was introduced to the market in 1967.

Honda Gets its Mojo Back: Consumer Reports Puts 2013 Accord on Top of its Class

Despite the (in)famous 2012 Civic episode, there seems to be no bad feelings between Honda and Consumer Reports (CR). The publication may have dropped the 2012 Civic from its recommended list pressuring for a quick redesign, but Honda can relax as far as its U.S. market best-seller is concerned.

In fact, it may even smile as CR has put the 2013 Accord at the top of its class in four-cylinder guise while it notes that the V6 version is “challenging the Toyota Camry for the top spot” in its ratings.

Someone Should Find this Driver and Report Him/Her to the Police

Making an honest mistake while sitting behind the wheel is one thing, being careless or to put it bluntly, a complete asshat, is quite another.

On Sunday, the driver of a previous generation Honda CR-V (possibly in Taiwan - if we're wrong, tell us in the comments) was filmed by a motorcyclist making an extremely dangerous move on the road when he or she drove between a Nissan Sentra and a scooter driven by a father with his child riding at the back, almost knocking them down.

This is How They Deal with Abandoned and Illegally Parked Cars in Russia

When it comes to vehicles that are abandoned or parked illegally, most municipalities will issue tickets with the hope that owners will pay up and conform to the law, but sometimes, more drastic measures are called for.

In Russia, for example, some cities have no problem taking matters into their own hands and settling the problem once and for all, giving owners a tough lesson.

If You're Going to Anger Your Lady, You Better Hide Your Car or Else….

Reminds us not piss off any Brazilian woman. Dozens of bystanders on a street in Vila OlĂmpia, an upper-class neighborhood in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, were treated to a spectacle earlier this week when a young woman lashed out her anger on her boyfriend's or according to some other accounts, husband's black Honda Accord.

The woman used anything she could get her angry hands on, from keys to bricks, to cause as much damage as she could on the Japanese sedan.

Consumer Reports’ First Drive of 2013 Honda Civic: Did They Change Their Mind?

In the 100-plus year-old history of the motoring press, countless cars have been panned. Their makers have reacted in one of three ways: they have either refuted the verdict, often trying to “punish” the offending reviewer, ignored it and went on with their business as if nothing happened or made improvements when the time came to revamp the car.

Honda got pretty upset about the press’ reaction to its 2012 U.S. market Civic to the extent that it gave it a makeover just in time for the 2013 model year. Introducing a significantly improved model 18 months later must be an industry first – but then again, reviews like the one published by Consumer Reports apparently were too much to bear, even if sales soared.

2013 Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe: All You Need to Know and See [113 Photos and Videos]

It’s not often that an established car company, such as Honda, flops on one of its most important new models. It’s even more surprising when that model, despite being panned by the press, proves to be a hit with the customers.

As you may be aware by now, that’s exactly what happened just 18 months ago when the Japanese carmaker revealed the ninth generation of the Civic: it got panned by Consumer Reports, which denied it a “recommended” rating and dropped it to the bottom of its list. As a result, CEO Takanobu Ito apologized in public and the company rushed in a facelift.

In spite of the 2012 Civic sales being up 40 percent, to 234,029 units, through September, making Honda’s compact model the sixth best-selling car in the U.S., its replacement was unveiled at the LA Auto Show.

The 2013 Civic has received a host of changes that seek to address criticism aimed at the 2012 model. The Coupe remains unchanged, save for new wheels, but the sedan features a black honeycomb mesh grille, new clear-lens corner lights and a taller, more sculpted hood up front and a new trunk lid, taillights and restyled bumper at the rear.

Honda Pulls the Wraps Off its New Low-Cost Brio Amaze Small Sedan [w/Video]

What you see here is Honda's brand new small sedan for emerging markets, mainly in Asia and countries such as Thailand, where it is called the Brio Amaze and India, where it will be offered as the Amaze.

The Amaze is the sedan derivative of the Brio five-door hatchback released last year in the same region.

In Thailand, which is the first country to receive the car, the Amaze is offered with the same 1.2-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine found on the hatch.

The four-cylinder unit produces 90 horsepower and can be matched to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, delivering a fuel economy of 20km/lt, equal to 5.0lt/100km and 47mpg US / 56.5mpg UK.

Honda Shows More of its Upcoming Brio Amaze Small Sedan in New Teaser Video

We don’t know if Honda will actually amaze consumers with its upcoming model, but we did learn that it baptized the sedan version of its Brio series Amaze (specifically, Brio Amaze for Thailand and other surrounding markets and simply Amaze for India), thanks to a new teaser video released by the manufacturer's Thai arm. C&D Puts the VW Passat Against Newcomers Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima

It's the most popular passenger car segment in the U.S.A. with well over 1 million annual sales and four representatives in 2011's list of the 10 bestselling models overall, including the Toyota Camry that finished 3rd behind the Ford F-Series and Chevy Silverado trucks, followed by the Nissan Altima (4th overall), Ford Fusion (6th) and Honda Accord (9th).

We are talking of course about the mid-size category, which is the subject of Car & Driver's (C&D) magazine latest comparison test.

The publication took its previous winner, the North American market VW Passat (not to be confused with the Passat sold in other regions) that beat the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata, and compared it against three newcomers, the 2013 versions of the Ford Fusion (to be sold in Europe as the new Mondeo), Honda Accord and Nissan Altima.

Dumb and Dumber Attempt to Restrain a Honda CR-X del Sol in Canada

A raggedy rag Honda Civic del Sol (also known as the CR-X del Sol and the new CR-X, depending on the region) parked on the grass near Lake Beaulac in Quebec, Canada? Check.

Two enthusiastic young men prepared to sacrifice their safety and well-being for the entertainment of their fellow citizens? Check.

A cameraman on hand to record the incident? Check.

All that's left for Canada's Lloyd and Harry is to step on a wooden plank and tell the driver of the Civic del Sol to push the pedal to the metal. You can probably guess what happens next…

Bet You Didn't See this Honda Civic Rollover Accident Coming

Minor fender-benders happen all the time on busy city roads, and in most cases, it's more of an insurance hassle than anything else.

We don't know why the driver of the grey-colored, older generation Honda Civic depicted in this dashcam footage wasn't paying attention to the road, but whatever the reason, he slightly steered off his lane and touched the corner of the Chevrolet Cruze's rear bumper that was in front of him at a relatively low speed.

Crashing Into Another Car in Reverse During a Drag Race is a Huge Fail….

Losing control of your car and smashing either into a wall or another vehicle while doing a quarter mile run on the track at full speed is fathomable, but having an accident in reverse during a warm up sprint is not…

Two drivers in hot hatchbacks were getting ready to race each other at a drag strip in the German town of Bautzen in eastern Saxon.

Before starting the race, the motorists revved up their engines and made a short dash to get their vehicle tires warmed up.

Vossen Wheels Slams Down and Rims Up Honda Crosstour

The Honda Crosstour, be that in its original form or even in facelift guise as it appeared at the New York Auto Show earlier this year with sales to start later in the fall, hasn't exactly won consumers with its looks. Here is where the aftermarket industry steps in.

Miami based wheel manufacturers Vossen is showing off a uniquely tuned example of the pre-facelift Honda Crosstour fitted with a rather discreet aero package comprising front and rear aprons and side sills.

Spied: 2013 Honda Accord Dashboard Revealed and First Video of the Coupe on the Road

Honda may have released images of the final production version of its 2013 Accord Sedan and Coupe ahead of launch, but it only showed us the exterior of the two cars with the interior remaining a mystery.

Not anymore as a forum member of the Honda-loving Temple of VTEC (TOV) secured what looks like a brochure or perhaps a dealer-intended image of the 2013 Accord's dashboard with information on the various features.

A few things we noticed is the multi-layered design of the dash with two screens on the center console.

The lower touchscreen unit, positioned between the central air-vents, is for the new HondaLink infotainment system, while the upper, full-color unit for Honda's Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) that shows all sorts of information from the Navigation system to trip computer functions.

Talking to yourself is never a good sign, even more so if talking suddenly turns into yelling all while you are speeding on the road on a motorcycle.

Equipped with a helmet-mounted camera, the Brazilian rider of what is said to be a Honda Hornet, starts his ride in a fairly normal manner - well, aside from the interesting conversation he's having with himself and the occasional "oh" whenever he sees a girl on the road.

However, at around 2 minutes and 20 seconds into the clip, he drives behind a white Ferrari 430, which he quickly passes once the green light turned on. And here’s when all hell breaks loose.
