New Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFlex is the Most Fuel Efficient Opel / Vauxhall Diesel Ever at 3.3lt/100km


Thanks to a series of enhancements, mainly to the engine and transmission, the new Corsa 1.3 CDTI is claiming the title of the most economical diesel model that Opel and its sister company Vauxhall have ever built.

The latest generation of the three-door Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX Start/Stop returns a fuel economy of 3.3lt/100km or 85.6mpg UK / 71.3mpg US, with corresponding CO2 emissions of 88g/km. That's a 0.2lt/100km or 2.4mpg UK and a 6g/km improvement over the 2011 model.

Opel Brand Opens its Wings and Launches in Australia and Chile


While Ford's European arm is trying to counter slow sales in the region through a product offensive, GM's rivaling Opel brand is going international launching in Australia and Chile.

In the Land Down Under, Opel's initial model range consists of the Corsa supermini, the Astra five-door compact hatchback and Sports Tourer (station wagon), and the Insignia mid-size sedan.

Opel Adds 118hp 1.4-liter Turbo with Start and Stop to Corsa's Lineup


Opel is expanding its European market Corsa's range with a 118hp (120PS) 1.4-liter turbocharged ecoFLEX gasoline engine equipped with a Start/Stop system and two new special editions named 'All Black' and 'All White'.

Available across the range, the four-cylinder ecoFLEX engine delivers an output of 118hp (120PS) and a peak torque of 175Nm (129 lb-ft).

Opel Launches New Corsa “Kaleidoscope” Edition in Europe


With the fourth generation of the Opel Corsa entering its sixth year in the market, the German automaker is trying to beef up interest in the supermini with the release of another special edition version.

This one is called "Kaleidoscope" and it affords a more individualized look to the Corsa.

The Kaleidoscope is available with a choice of two special metallic exterior colors called "pepperdust" and "technical grey", which are combined with glossy black roof, black mirror housings and for the first time, a black grille frame. It also rides on dark 17-inch wheels and gets chrome exhaust pipes.
